For the global launch of the new Sony FX5, Sony commissioned acclaimed cinematographer Ula Pontikos and photographer/filmmaker Sophie Ebrard to create an original short film that explores the camera's capabilities through cinematic storytelling.

"Some stories begin with a script. “Masha” began with a feeling: a woman alone in the Scottish Highlands, searching for something we couldn't quite name."

Co-directed by Pontikos and Ebrard, Masha is an intimate exploration of resilience, solitude and freedom. Set against the rugged Scottish landscape, the film follows a woman reconnecting with herself through the quiet power of nature.
